Resigned to spending his life alone, whatever of it might remain, Robert never thought about there being a chance to have so much more. Someone that he wanted to do all he could for, and so as long as it was in his way or giving it to her, there was nothing that Robert wanted to deny her.

Not that she makes it truly difficult. It is a shared life so far, up to and including this moment when they've come together in pleasure.

Amazed by the sensation of her body, the words, how his name sounds on her lips in that moment. But it's the way her body moves against him that makes Robert groan, head bowed and his back arched.
